Ongoing Website Support
I look after websites for businesses on a monthly basis. That means handling the technical maintenance, but also being available when you need help, spotting issues before they become problems, and suggesting improvements when I see them.
Agencies and consultants: Whether you need someone behind the scenes or just someone reliable to refer clients to, I can help. More on that below.
What This Includes
Plugin and core updates, regular backups, security monitoring, uptime checks, hosting (if required). All the things you’d expect. I handle these as standard so you don’t have to think about them.
The part that’s harder to find
You’re working with someone who knows your site and genuinely cares about you and your business.
When something goes wrong, you email me. I’ll already understand your setup, so we skip the back-and-forth. I respond quickly, explain things clearly, and fix problems properly rather than patching over them.
I also pay attention between emergencies. Part of my job is noticing things you might not consider or think to ask about – pages behaving oddly, small issues worth fixing before they grow, SEO or usability issues, opportunities to improve something. I’ll flag these and let you decide what’s worth doing.
It’s hard to see your own site objectively – you already know what everything means, so you can’t tell what a new visitor might miss. I make a point of looking at sites with fresh eyes: does the homepage actually explain what you do? Is key information easy to find? Do the forms make sense? This often leads to small changes that make a real difference.
Most of my support clients came to me after their previous developer stopped responding, did unsatisfactory work, or disappeared entirely.
How It Works
We talk
A quick call or email exchange to understand your site, your setup, and what you need. No obligation.
I take a look
I’ll review the site and flag anything that needs immediate attention – including things that might not be obvious, like confusing pages or missed opportunities.
We agree on a plan
A simple monthly arrangement: what’s included, how quickly I’ll respond, and how additional work is handled. Most clients have a set number of hours each month that can be used for anything – fixes, changes, improvements, advice.
Ongoing support
From there, you have someone reliable to email or text when you need something. I handle the technical maintenance in the background, I’m available when you need me, and I flag anything worth your attention.
My Background
I’m a web developer first. That means I can dig into code, debug properly, and fix things at the source rather than working around them. I’m based in the UK and mostly work with UK businesses and agencies (but also some international clients).
I’ve also picked up solid design sense and SEO knowledge along the way – enough to spot issues that others might miss, like pages that aren’t indexed properly, layouts that confuse visitors, or content that’s not doing its job. But I’m not trying to be everything. When something needs a specialist, I’ll tell you, and I work well as part of a larger team.
I work with WordPress (including complex setups and WooCommerce), Shopify, static sites, legacy platforms, and most other common CMSes and website platforms. I’m used to inheriting unfamiliar setups and can usually take over without much onboarding.
For Agencies
If you’re looking for someone to handle ongoing support for clients you’ve built sites for (or inherited), I can work directly with your clients or behind the scenes as part of your team.
Either way: You won’t have to chase me, apologise for my work, or worry about me overstepping with your clients. White-label arrangements are available if that’s what you need.
Looking for someone reliable?
I’ll look after your site properly, respond when you need me, and tell you straight if something needs fixing.
Happy to have a quick chat about whether I’m a good fit.
